Anne Iasiello - Anne was born on July 10, 1953 to Peter and Catherine Iasiello. Peter and Catherine owned a home on Bogart Avenue, in the Bronx, New York which they shared with Catherine’s widowed sister, Nicoletta Lazarro. Nicoletta had three children, Anthony, Teresa and Ralph, and Anne had the good fortune of growing up with her first cousins who shared a relationship which was more like one of siblings, then cousins. Anne enjoyed growing up with parents that loved their family members more than anything else on earth and their home was always open to family and friends. After Anne married, she and her husband moved together with Pete and Catherine to a mother/daughter home in Ardsley, New York. Anne had her son, Peter, who was her pride and joy. She returned to college and obtained her R.N. in nursing. She took a job at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx and continued with her education, earning her Masters degree. Shortly after obtaining her Masters she moved up into a management position in Risk Management at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx. Anne was well respected in her position in Jacobi, being both loved and feared by the people she interacted with. On the homefront, Anne’s home was a place for gathering together with family and friends. She was an amazing cook and hostess, loved to travel and experience new things. She loved her cousins and their children and was a favorite “aunt”/friend. Much to the displeasure of some of her cousins, she was wont to advise these children to seek forgiveness, rather than permission, and these children were comfortable in confiding in her and seeking her advice. All of us are thankful that she was a trusted sounding board. Anne’s son Peter married Helene and they had two children, Gianna and Sofia, the absolute loves of Anne’s life. Nothing in this world has made Anne happier than spending time with her granddaughters. Her love for them knew no bounds and she was constantly trying to think of things they would enjoy and things she could do and enjoy with them. Anne was diagnosed with Scleroderma and fought this disease with everything she had. She was one of the first people to have stem cell transplant in an effort to contain and possibly reverse the progress of this disease. Unfortunately the treatment did not do all that she had prayed it would and she continued to decline. Her family is heartbroken. She was the center of so much of the family gatherings and life. She will be missed more than we can say.
