Edward “Ed” G. Pagano, 60, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, passed away on April 22nd, 2021. Born April 3rd, 1961 “The April Fool”, he was the son of the late James and Jeanne (nee Luning) Pagano. Ed graduated from St. Adalbert Elementary School and Cardinal Spellman High School — Class of ’79. He furthered his education by attending Elizabeth Seton College. Edward married his college sweetheart Michelle Beninati in 1989 and they celebrated 31 years of marriage in September 2020. He was a repair technician for TSI/Convergent Communications, CBS Whitcomm, and Blackbox Technologies. Ed enjoyed watching TV with closed captions, old sci-fi TV and movies, Robot Chicken and Mystery Science Theater 3000. He was an avid listener of ‘70s and ‘80s rock music. Ed was a passionate Mets fan. His favorite treats included White Castle, Nathan’s, Reese’s and red Jolly Ranchers. Ed also favored old Volkswagen Beetles. He was known as the “King of useless information” and had a quirky and sometimes off-color sense of humor. Ed was able to fall asleep anywhere at any time and could disappear in a crowd at any moment. Most notably, he always had a death grip on the remote.
