Esther Ann Nicholson, 82, a longtime resident of Irvington passed away on May 9, 2022. Born on July 14, 1939, in New York, NY, she was the daughter to the late Delby and Helen (nee Fuchs) D’Lower. Esther was well known in the community for her guidance, kindness, and loyalty. She also spent many years as a member at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Irvington, where she donated her time as a volunteer. Esther was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband David Bascom Nicholson III, son Andrew F. Nicholson and his wife Laura Nicholson, daughter Meredith N. Leon and her husband Nick Leon. Esther is also survived by her dear grandchildren Max, Charlie, and Ben Nicholson and Jenny and Ethan Massa. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Irvington. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation (https://www.parkinson.org/) in honor of her husband who is battling advanced Parkinson's.
