Walter Paul Haubold

Walter Paul Haubold, 86, of Yonkers, formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson, passed away on May 12th, 2022 at home surrounded by family. He was born in the Bronx on July 17, 1935 to the late Walther and Wanda (Bohl) Haubold. He attended Yonkers schools and graduated from Westchester Community College. He worked many years for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as a Materials Inspector. He is survived by his wife of more than 64 Years, Joan (Illmensee) Haubold; daughter Suzanne Suydam; granddaughters Ashley (Kevin) Gibson and Kaitlyn Suydam, and great grandson Finn Walter Gibson. He was pre-deceased by a son James in 1984. He was loved beyond words, and will forever be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Walter's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/). Visiting at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, Dobbs Ferry on Tuesday 4-7pm where Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday 10:30AM with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
